national heritages of Russia. On April 27, Russian ballet meets Russian jewelry art in its highest

"Russian German" Carl Faberge is known all over the world. A talented jeweler and the founder of the
veritable masters’ dynasty earned respect thanks to his incredible talents. Perhaps, the most important
thing that Carl gave the world is amazing Easter eggs. They are real works of art made of precious metals
and gems. The tradition to give an unusual souvenir for Easter appeared in 1885: Alexander III ordered
an egg as a gift to his wife Maria Fedorovna. Enchanted Empress immediately appointed Carl Faberge
as a court jeweler and began to order these gifts regularly. Thus, Faberge Easter eggs became a bright
symbol of the main Orthodox holiday in Russia.
